Melanie Harada, Senior Vice President

Melanie Harada's* financial acumen, passion for helping others achieve their financial goals, and collaborative spirit has made her an indispensable resource to her clients. Melanie advises established individuals, business owners, and small businesses develop and implement sound financial, insurance and estate strategies.
As a successful banker for over 17 years at JPMorgan Chase, Melanie routinely conquered challenges of increased complexity. As a senior business manager in the investment bank, Melanie provided strategic support to the heads of several major industry groups and provided the client and investment analytics that drove personnel, asset and capital allocation decisions. She successfully managed a number of critical strategic initiatives, including streamlining the credit approval process, coordinating and maximizing the US Open sponsorship and the privatization of U.S. Department of Education loans. Melanie's success on the Department of Education initiative earned her former President Ronald Reagan's "Privatization Award."
Craving more flexibility to become her own boss in the hopes of spending more time with her children and ill father, in 2001 Melanie released the golden handcuffs of the corporate world and used the finance skills that she had amassed throughout her academic and professional career, to become a financial advisor.
Melanie has become an invaluable resource to clients helping them along their financial journey. She collaborates with her clients in the formation of strategies to help create and preserve wealth. She prides herself on looking out for her clients, and as such continually taps into her vast network to orchestrate solutions to virtually any financial challenge. Melanie's success as an independent financial advisor earned her membership into the Million Dollar Roundtable and an Excellence in Performance award in 2005.
Melanie is a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon - National Honor Society for Economics and the Pascack Valley Entrepreneurs Club. She is also an active alumna of both Rutgers University, where she earned a BA with high honors in Economics and English, and NYU's Stern School of Business, where she graduated with an MBA in Finance and Information Systems. In addition, Melanie serves as a Girl Scout Leader.
Melanie is also a licensed producer of Life, Health, Accident and Long Term Care Insurance and holds Series 7, 63 and 66 registrations. She is also a Certified Long Term Care Specialist (CLTC). She and her husband are raising their early adolescent son and daughter in their home in Bergen County, NJ.
