JoanAnn Natola, Managing Partner

JoanAnn Natola's* corporate success, passion for innovation, and deep commitment to helping individuals attain financial security have converged in the creation of Element Financial Group. JoanAnn brings to the firm her deep understanding of employment needs and financial service offerings, which resulted in a practice focused on Corporate and Executive Benefits. JoanAnn helps businesses of all sizes craft benefit offerings which will help them attract and retain top talent. She also works with affluent individuals and families with complex investment and insurance.
JoanAnn's corporate successes have arisen from her unwillingness to accept the status- quo. As a highly analytical and creative person, whenever JoanAnn encountered an issue that impeded business, she solved it. She rose to a senior executive position in a Fortune 100 company by recognizing obstacles and successfully implementing programs to overcome them. Her successes included transitioning a division into a new technology platform because the legacy system could not accommodate the business successfully.
Later, when Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company merged with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual), JoanAnn was promoted to head the sales department for MassMutual's executive group life insurance division. Her successes in this role include managing the development of both an entirely new product and a new online enrollment system to improve the implementation process and enhance the client experience. Under her direction the division dominated the field of executive benefit planning, serving 70% of the largest law firms and Fortune 100 financial services firms.
JoanAnn was later tapped to head a newly formed Private Client Group focusing on innovative insurance and investment products for ultra-high net worth individuals and families. In this role, she also served as Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of MassMutual Bermuda and worked closely with MassMutual’s international department to open an office in Luxembourg.
In an effort to attract more women to the financial services industry, JoanAnn created a three-year accelerated program to fast-track talented business leaders to run successful financial services firms. JoanAnn surpassed all benchmarks for the program, paving the way for other motivated professionals to own their own successful financial service firms.
She is a leading marketer of financial literacy for women and has been published on varying topics of finance and is a Certified Long Term Care professional. When not in New York City, JoanAnn lives in Cheshire, Connecticut with her husband, mother-in-law and special needs brother-in-law. JoanAnn's pride and joy is her daughter Vanessa, who is currently attending law school in Massachusetts.
